MIKROSAL
Trace element composition for fresh water and sea water, it is the well-known Hoagland's trace element composition, modified for use in aquariums.
Nowadays it is actually unnecessary to say a great deal about trace elements. The necessity of their existence in the water of the aquarium has been recognized for a long time and is absolutely undisputed. Even the lack of only one trace element might lead to atrophy which is almost never recognized. The use of trace elements in aquariums is a delicate matter, for they must be present really and only in form of traces and all must be present.
The MIKROSAL trace element composition, providing it is applied in the proper manner, definitely insures the presence of all essential trace elements in the aquarium.

Application: Twice a month at regular Intervals
The application tolerances are deliberytely kept relatively wide in order to avoid any erroneous dosing. The standard is one gram of MIKROSAL to 100 liters of aquarium water (1 gram = plastic lid of glass filled to the rim.) Variations around 50% are possible in this range.
Simply dissolve MIKROSAL in hot water (approx. 0.25 liter per gram) and pour it into the fish tank after cooling.
Addition to aquarium bottom material: the amount to be used should be determined on the basis of the water contents of the tank. Mix the preparation with dry sand or soil and then distribute mixture uniformly over aquarium bottom.
