(Visitors most welcomed at all events – unless stated otherwise)
Saturday, 15th March 2008, Annual and General
Meeting at London City YMCA, Errol Street EC1Y

We aim to keep our AGM business brief. After the election of
Officers, a reflection upon our past year and an outline of events
to follow, Ray Rich will be masterminding the second of his
‘Goldfish Quizzes’ aimed to provide an afternoon of fun as well
as inform and perhaps test our knowledge of all things

Kempshott Village Hall, Pack Lane, Basingstoke.
RGCC 5HN
The topic of the afternoon will be ‘An Examination of Scale
Groups and Colour’ to be presented by our Scientific Advisor
and President, Dr. Joe Smartt. This will give us all a better
understanding of exactly what is at play in both the inheritance
and development of scale types and colour in goldfish.
Members are invited to bring along their ‘Matts, mocks pseudo,
blue bellies, calicos, metallics, crosses and anything else of
interest’. This is not a contest but an opportunity to examine
real examples of colour variation.
During 2007 we moved out of London for the first time in many
years, for one of our General Meetings. This venue proved to be
very popular with Members and attracted a number who find
London more difficult to journey to. The facilities provided by
this new venue enabled a vast array of both Adult and young
Goldfish to be taken to the meeting. There is ample and free
parking at this venue!

Saturday, 19th July 2008, General Meeting at The
Chairman’s Goldfish Emporium! (Strictly Members
only).
The format for this meeting will be that of an ‘open house’ (fishhouse!)
where members will be able to see what is actually
happening as it happens and ask whatever questions they wish
in a totally informal atmosphere. The normal meeting charge of
£1 per head will apply for the Society’s funds and light
refreshments will be provided. Meeting time – 11 am to 4 pm.
